He's currently out wandering the countryside granting wishes with Yukine. He's vowed to not return home until he's become a true God of Fortune. Character Details Age just over 1000; looks late-teens, early 20s Hair/Eyes Black | Luminously blue Height/Weight a bit short for a male but still taller than your average high school girl. Fairly light. Notable Traits His eyes are so, so blue. He apparently smells distinctly amazing to demons. His hands are really sweaty. 15 Second Summary Yato is a small-time, has-been god of war. Where once he was a force of calamity - bringing death and destruction for anyone who asked it of him - he's now a homeless street god with no shrine of his own, trying to make a "living" in modern-day japan by doing odd jobs in exchange for 5 yen per task; the standard offering when making a wish at a temple. Despite his bloody past, his aims are cheerful and optimistic: all he wants is to be the richest, most beloved god in the world, with a lavish shrine and followers who shower him with endless gratitude. Is that so much to ask? Abilities & Permissions Abilities Yato is a war god, and as such is very good at fighting; his specialty is the katana, but he's good with any kind of blade. While fighting unarmed is not his preference, he's fairly skilled at it as well. If you asked him in his low moments, Yato might say that fighting is the only thing he can do. However, after over a thousand years of life, he's picked up a good number of other skills. As a delivery god, he grants any wish he gets, which has given him general proficiency at a wide spectrum of mundane skills, as well as some more specific ones; for example, not only is he a talented illustrator, he's able to loom-weave himself a traditional kimono. He can also teleport fairly long distances, so long as he knows his destination (having a phone connection to someone at the destination counts). Permissions I'm fine with most everything! Just be in contact for anything real big. Sensing If your character is dead, Yato will know. As a god, Yato can bind uncorrupted spirits of the dead as shinki--a living object to assist him. While most shinki are weapons, the form ultimately depends both on the personality of the shinki and the nature of the god they serve. Shinki are also given a number of combat-based spells and skills by their connection. There is also a one-way emotional connection from shinki to god; strong emotions are felt, and any sinful acts the shinki takes will cause physical harm to their god. I'm up for doing this with anyone if you're interested! I think it's a fun mechanic. Second! If you are not dead - you might find it anywhere from 'a bit difficult' to 'impossible' to remember who Yato is between conversations. Usually the more attuned to spirts/magic/whatever-you-want you are, the easier it will be to remember. You also might not forget him at all! Obviously I'm not expecting anyone to play with this, but if you want to, feel free! We should chat if you want to have more than 1-2 threads, though - Yato's used to being forgotten, so he'll probably give up sadly after a few consecutive forgettings
